Pool

Sammy loves water. He loves splashing. He loves tasting the water. He loves stacking tupperware. He loves kicking. He loves dunking cheerios in the water. He loves shouting "da!" to the dog who watches at a safe distance with her stubby tail jerking around doing its stubby-tail wag.

Yard Sale

We hosted the mother-of-all yard sales on May 19 with tons of friends donating stuff and helping since 5:30 a.m. The purpose was to raise money for Marc and Amy who are adopting an orphan baby girl from Ethiopia. Their adoption fees are running around $17,000. We broke the 4-digit mark and raised $1289.75!!! Big success!

This is Chad out on the corner. He was a landmark for miles and brought in tons of curious shoppers. :-)

Ryan's Wedding

Sam attended his first wedding at The Citadel military college in Charleston. His cousin, Ryan, married Katie on May 12. Sam lasted about 6 minutes in the chapel and then he and Danny went to play on the lawn. His cousin's were ring bearers and flower girl. At the reception, Sam got so stimulated by all the people and sounds and lights that he got WOUND UP. It was like someone shot him out of a cannon. He just ran and ran and ran for three hours.

Peas

Sam has been sick and cranky for days with an ear infection. Then he was very, very quiet. Ten glorious minutes of silence passed. I could hear the swoosh of the washing machine. A bird chirped outside. The wall clock ticked loudly. I rushed to find him.

A few things to note about Sam's development:
a. Sam on tippy-toes can now reach the countertop. Who knew?
b. Sam loves peas. He can meticulously pick them out of other perfectly edible foods.
c. Sam does not feel so sick any more.
